It was a typical Colorado winter day. It was just about 55° and sunny so what better way to spend the day than by going to the park? We love to go to Westland Park over in Greenwood Village. They have lots of equipment, swings and a climbing wall too. The kids love running all around there and we usually go for a walk after they play for a bit as well. When you drive into the park, you are greeted by a huge arch that you drive under. It’s usually quite a site because the mountains are centered in the arch, so on these crisp days, you get a great view of the front range framed by the arch. I’ve always wanted to take a photo of the arch, but we usualy stay down in the park the whole time. This time, I managed to walk up to the arch and grab this shot of the arch from a different point of view. The sun was fighting off the clouds making way for that beautiful Colorado blue sky we all love so much and made for an interesting division of the image. This was shot with my 10-22mm lens at 18mm.
