Google Web Accelerator - Good or Bad?
Google announced yesterday the availability of their new Web Accelerator for use with Internet Explorer or Firefox. The accelerator uses Google's machines as proxies to do it's work. According to their pages, they cache web pages, images, cookies, etc to speed up your web surfing experience. Now I'm all about surfing the web faster, but I don't know how I feel about all this information Google is collecting. This comment on /. pretty much explains how I'm feeling about all this too. So just be cautious all you out there. Google is a good company...but they are starting to get a LOT of information about all of us.
