Monty Python's Spamalot Hits Broadway

As some of you know, my roots are from England. Because of this, I love English humor and Monty Python is one of my favorites. The Holy Grail is my favorite one of their movies and they have created a new Broadway show that pays tribute to the Grail, but more importantly to SPAM! Check out their fun and hillarious website here! You can even get a limited edition can of SPAM! Hopefully it will make its way Denver!

Starwars to be re-released in 3D!

Looks like George Lucas (along with a bunch of others) are falling in love with the new 3D technology. Lucas has announced that he plans to re-release all the the starwars movies in 3D. He hopes to have the first film ready for the 30th anniversary of the original "Star Wars" movie in 2007 and that he would then rerelease one "Star Wars" film per year in 3-D.

From the article: "Lucas was joined by James Cameron, Robert Zemeckis, Robert Rodriguez and Randal Kleiser. Peter Jackson joined the group via a pretaped 3-D segment. They all implored the exhibition community to invest in digital projectors, which would allow theatres to show their upcoming movies in 3-D."

The technology is all based on Texas Instruments DLP projectors (of which there are still only 2 in Denver...lame...). I want to know if I can bring the 3D movies home if I have a DLP TV/Projector. That would rock!

Official US PSP Site Launched

Sony has finally launched the official PSP Web Site! It has tech specs, a FAQ, and some "official" forums. The FAQ answers some questions that have been looming including Game Sharing. My big question has been if Sony is going to release the rumored update to the software that would allow Web Browsing, Email, etc. Their FAQ gives me a little more hope stating: "Currently, the PSP system does not offer Internet browsing functionality." I'm keeping my fingers crossed! See you all at the game store on the 24th! WooHoo!!

The Future of Digital Camera Technology

I wrote this post back in November with the intention of researching it more, but I guess I never had the time. So at long last, here is what I did write!

Ever since I got my first camera, I have always wanted an SLR based camera. Then digital cameras came out and then I wanted one of those. Now that I have a digital camera, I take hundreds of pictures. I am again to the point where I want a digital SLR now. So I have been poking around the internet looking for what the latest and greatest is right now. A while ago I came across a new image sensor called the Foveon X3. It looks like it could revolutionize digital cameras, read on to find out why.

Before this image sensor, to get fully lossless 3 color digital pictures, you needed a 3 CCD solution. With the Foveon X3, it captures all 3 colors on different layers of the CCD. Therefore, it is much smaller, with very high quality images being produced. You actually get more pixles with one X3 sensor than you would on a 3CCD camera. It looks awesome and I want one. That is all there is to it...;)

Dave Matthews Band's New Album "Stand Up" Available for Pre Order

You can preorder the album and get a special disk with it that contains 3 B-sides from Stand Up and 2 songs pulled from the soundboard tapes of the 2004 DMB summer tour. Keep up the good work Dave, Carter, LeRoi, Stefan, and Boyd!

Ninjai Chapter 12 Released!

The 12th chapter of the little Ninja and his bird has been released. This one is quite a bit shorter than the last one, but it is still pretty good. For some reason, the artwork of the trees didn't look quite as good to me this time...but Ninjai and his bird still look great! I wonder when (and if) they will release more...seems like they will the way this one ended...we just don't know when...Until next time little bird...

New Starwars Episode III Trailer Online

Popular Science Asks: How Real Is Forza Motorsport

Popular Science is running a story which asks the question: "Where does the line between Reality and Virtual Reality end?" They brought in two race drivers to play Forza Motorsport and then took them out on the real track in the same cars to see how they compared. The result...Forza is VERY lifelike down to even the track times both drives got both in game and on the track. Check out this awesome video of the action (more videos).

Tivo and Comcast sign deal

Tivo and Comcast have tied the knot! Tivo signed a deal with Comcast yesterday that will bring the Tivo platform to Comcast subscribers everywhere. The deal lays out a multi year plan for Tivo to develop a solution that can be retrofitted into Comcasts existing DVR platform. It sounds like it will replace the current software on Comcasts DVRs today which would be awesome. The first release of the new software is planned to be released in 2006 sometime.

Play D&D, Get Lower Clearance

This is just too funny to not post. Rumors that the Israeli Army gives men who play D&D lower security clearances has been confirmed to be true! I guess being a Dungeon Master isn't high on their list of leadership qualities...;) If you are still wondering about what D&D is, maybe you should watch this! It's hillarious!
