Macworld SanFran '05
With Macworld just around the corner, I thought I would join the crowd and begin with the rumor mongerings. For those of you who don't keep up with the rumor mill, this is a summary of what is excepted to come at MWSF:
- The Sub $500 headless iMac - Aimed at the PC users who have always said: "Apples stuff is cool, but it is too expensive. I would buy one if they were cheaper." We'll you better be ready to eat your words come next week buddy!!
- iWorks - Apples Microsoft Office Killer.
- Flash based iPod - The smallest iPod of all. Should be based on flash memory instead of a harddrive and will have much less capacity than it's big brothers.
- iPhone - It won't be called the iPhone, but Motorolla and Apple have been working together to make a cell phone with iTunes capability. I guess this has actually been shown already at CES this week.
- Asteroid - A audio device that takes midi in and converts it to firewire for use with GarageBand. Pretty cool stuff for actual "Garage Bands".
Those are the rumored things for this years first Macworld. Personally, the only one I think is any good is the Headless iMac. Can't wait to see the commercials..."Run!! It's the Headless iMac!"
In related news, it is rumored that Apple will not have any live feeds for the Keynote speech. This makes no sense to me. Every year, the first thing Steve Jobs says is "We have 150 bizillon people watching on the internet and via sat." Why would they want to stop that free advertising?? Oh well...keep your eye out here for updates as I get them.
