Final Fantasy Concert Series Coming to the States

Final Fantasy Dear Friends LogoIf anybody knows me, they know I love the Final Fantasy series of games. I have also always loved the music from these games as well. Heck, my alarm I wake up to every day is the music from the Crystal Room. :) Well, it looks like we all may get a great taste of the music from Final Fantasy as a concert series titled "Dear Friends" kicks off in Chicago, Illinois on the 19th of December. President of Square Enix was quoted saying:

The first FINAL FANTASY concert in the U.S. brought fans from far and wide together in Los Angeles to share in an unforgettable musical experience. We are pleased to announce that, due to the overwhelmingly positive response, a North American tour will soon bring the emotionally moving and powerful scores to fans across the country.
I can't wait till it comes to Denver (I sure hope it will...)!

On a related note, check out the Black Mages. They took battle music from Final Fantasy and turned it into Rock music. It is pretty funny (and not too bad either.
