Last year was supposed to be the last year of the Colorado Balloon Classic in Colorado Springs, and we were sad to see it go, but to our surprise, it has been revived under a new name: The Colorado Spring Labor Day Lift Off. We were able to attend the Balloon Glow on Sunday evening with some friends. Unfortunately, weather intervened and grounded all but 4 of the balloons. We were luckily enough to have picked a spot right next to the Labor Day Lift Off balloon and it was one of the ones to still go up and glow. As it rose, I was able to capture this shot of the blue flame filling the envelope with a beautiful sky and one of the other baskets in candle mode. We hope next year will be more successful. We were really looking forward to seeing Yoda and Darth Vader at the glow this year, but hopefully they will be back in full force next year!
